A lot can change in a year.

Through rewilding nature is given the opportunity to self regulate and bounce back after years of neglect. Jens Thorving Andersen, a naturalist from Vildmarken walks us down the path of how animals are revitalising the wild at Saksfjed Wilderness in southern Denmark.

This is the third part in our series following the introduction of tauros at Saksfjed Wilderness in southern Denmark, as a way to bring back a relative of the ancient aurochs.

The Tauros are a key part of the local ecosystem, helping regulate the area. Frogs and plants alike are just some of the species that benefit greatly from their presence.

This piece was produced by Imagine5 in paid partnership with Hempel Foundation, which runs Saksfed Wilderness, and works to accelerate positive change in the areas of biodiversity and education.
